Bugatti and more at the Bremen Classic Motorshow

Bremen classic car show 2007

From Bugatti Royale to Belgian Beauties

Three full show days, a separate hall for historic motor sports, special focus on "Bugatti" in the historic automobile section, and a special show devoted to Belgian motor cycles in the two-wheeler section. These are the new highlights awaiting visitors to the fifth Bremen Classic Motorshow to be held at the Bremen Exhibition Centre from 2 to 4 February 2007.

"By lengthening the show to three full days we are able to give our visitors more time to look round and buy on each of the show days", said Hans Peter Schneider, the Managing Director of fair organizers Messe Bremen, in explanation of the extension of the opening times particularly on Friday. "The halls were already well filled with our 31,400 visitors in 2006 and in this way we are creating a bit more capacity".

And that will definitely be needed, for there is going to be a lot to see and buy: for example in Hall 7 which is devoted solely to the topic "Historic Motor Sports". There are going to be some real eye-catchers there - but this special market for active motor sports enthusiasts will also offer the opportunity to buy cars, spare parts and accessories. Newcomers to the historic racing scene will be able to gain advice, information and practical tips. "How can I convert my car for motor sports?", or "What regulations do I have to fulfil?" - questions that will be answered by exhibitors and associations which will also offer workshops on relevant topics.

"Milestones in Technology and Design" - the main theme of all the Bremen Classic Motorshows - was bound to lead there: in 2007 a special show with the title "Le Pur-Sang des Automobiles" will be devoted to the thoroughbred automobiles from Bugatti. Ettore Isidoro Arco Bugatti and his son Jean Bugatti were ingenious car manufacturers and designers. The cars they built were at the forefront of technical innovations in their day. The "Tank" T32, the Bugatti "Atlantic", and of course the "Royale", to name just a few, will be on view in Bremen.

And in the AWD Dome - the hall for historic motorcycles - there will be a further special highlight: a selection of about 25 Belgian motorbikes will be on display in the context of a special show. "When Belgian motorcycles are mentioned people don't automatically immediately think of technology and design, but the big classic brands alone, such as Sarolea, Gillet, FN, already speak for themselves", said Schneider. "We will have some unusual exhibits on show from the two sections racing sports and road machines."

So much for the new highlights at next year's Bremen Classic Motorshow. But of course popular features from the previous events will be continued in 2007, too. For example, clubs will again be competing for the award of the best club presentation, and there is sure to be some avid bargaining with professional and private traders over prices for classic vehicles, spare parts and accessories. Thomas Benecke's auction of two-wheeled rarities has in the meantime also developed into one of the big hits at the show. In 2007, about 200 historic items will be on offer.

The Bremen Classic Motorshow 2007 will be held from Friday 2 February to Sunday 4 February, from 10 to 18 hrs on each day. Entrance tickets cost 13 euros. Phone: 0180 555 837 42. For further information please visit www.classicmotorshow.de
