Anna dropped me a line, with details of a show being held in May...

"I came across your website and hope you don't me contacting you.

I am involved in the organisation of the Brightwalton Village Fete (on the Oxon-Berks border between Wantage & Newbury) and we always have a small but eclectic classic car show as part of the fete - which we are planning to expand this year!

I'm wondering if you would be willing to publish details via your site with an invitation to attend. It's on Sunday 6th May from 12 -4pm and entry is FREE (to the fete and for bringing a car). Last year we had around 30+ cars, from MGs, an amphi car, Jaguar DType etc - and even the Batmobile from the 70s TV series! The fete is a major attraction and last year we reckon we had around 3-4000 people - I've attached this year's press release for info - and it's a very relaxed and friendly event. It's also a good fun drive across the Berkshire Downs to get here ;-)

Cars are welcome, just to turn up on the day and we'll be happy to see them. However, letting us know in advance helps as we can make sure we have enough room in the field! (there's also free parking and admission for modern cars bringing extra friends and family).

There are no charges for coming. All we ask is that people don't bring picnics etc. We have an excellent beer tent, BBQ with local sausages and home made teas at very reasonable prices for anyone who wants refreshments - plus lots of free attractions and entertainment.

Do you think this is something that might be of interest?

Look forward to hearing from you - and hope you will be able to come along.

Best regards
Anna Britnor Guest."
