| A dandy chap photographed with his tourer in 1930s America |
Driving is wrapped up with more red tape, restriction and surveillance than ever before, and the freedom of the road is something that seems like a 30s idea, rather than something that we should talk about today. What drives you up the wall, and what do you really like, about driving a classic in modern conditions? do you miss the traditional roadside cafe, beloved of lorry drivers for decades, or do you prefer the faceless motorway service areas that serve up polystyrene coffee and plastic sausages?
What improvements have you seen in recent years when it comes to driving? are road surfaces much better than they used to be, and garages offering a better service than ever before? Your comments welcomed - anonymous if you'd rather..
