Free Adverts. There are several sections across OCC where visitors to the site can post Parts For Sale, or Parts/Information Wanted type adverts, free of charge. No-one at OCC can take responsibility for the accuracy of adverts placed on the site, or any legalities that may surround the content of an advert. This website is solely a means for posting free adverts, it is up to the reader to seek assurances about the advertiser before committing to buying anything, or selling anything to them. Caveat Emptor! OCC is not able to authenticate all adverts, or validate claims or assurances made within them (same as with printed adverts in the press). The site editor (ie me) reserves the right to remove any ads that are offensive or unsuitable for the page(s) they've been added to. If you spot an advert that I've missed, and that might cause someone offence, please please advise me via the contact page and I'll attend to it as soon as possible. Not everyone out there is as honest as we'd like unfortunately, so I cannot emphasise enough the caution that must be taken when entering into any agreement (of whatever type) as a result of reading a particular advert or posting made on OCC. There are also sections where people can submit details of their car clubs, or their specialist services (see the restoration directory). Inclusion of any company or individual, or their services/advice/parts they might be offering, on any area across OCC is not a recommendation of that person's, or company's, services. It is merely a free advertisement, no more. Please make your own mind up about the people/organisation you are contacting before committing to buying any item and/or service, seeking informed/legal advice as you see fit in advance. If you have placed an advert, or submitted to the club or specialists directory, but now wish your entry to be removed, please send me an email advising which page your entry is on, and I'll remove it as soon as I can. Copyright. This website contains a great many photographs & images; many of the recent photos have been taken by myself at public shows. Some images have been sent over by visitors to the site, who want to contribute to the site. There are also a number of period photographs, that have been acquired from many sources (eg from visitors, the internet, secondhand & junk shops, antique shops) and so on. Wherever possible I have tried to credit the source of the images, although when dealing with vintage photographs this hasn't always been possible. If I have featured photos and/or other images that feature your car, or yourself or your family members in some way (perhaps walking behind a car that I was taking a picture of), or your company, and you wish to have the image(s) removed from the website, again please drop me a line via the contact page and I'll sort it out. This goes for anything else that has been featured here (period advertisements for instance). I hope that you enjoy browsing the many corners of this website, I regularly get contacted by people who have found the site interesting, or request that they may re-produce my own articles in their publications, or as part of their school/college project. |
