Vintage Transport Gathering Sunday 10th Sept. 2006

East Lancashire railway's first Vintage transport gathering - 10th September 2006! (Steam theme day).

The event will be hosted in the car park at Bolton street station, Bury Lancs, on Sunday 10th September 2006. The car park has 96-100 spaces. We will be looking for motor bikes and vintage vehicles pre 1975. Bolton street station has the trackside public house which sells hot/cold food and a vast range of real ales (only for the passengers!) and soft drinks.

We also have our retail shop selling all types of souvenirs and train riding certificates, and not forgetting our restored steam engines which travel along over 12 miles of track calling at Heywood-Bury-Ramsbottom-Rawtenstall.

For cars/hatchbacks and motor bikes we will offer two free comp/tickets. Any other passengers in the vehicle will travel at the concession rate at the time.

Large HGV's/Fire engines etc will qualify for 4 free comp/tickets and again any other passengers in the vehicle will travel at the concession rate.

We will also hopefully have trade stalls located inside the station building. Pitch charges will be £20.
