I had several Pilots back in the day, nothing like the condition of those on here. Prices were different then, mine ranged from a £5 one I bought for spares to an expensive £70 one. There must have been 8 of us all with Pilots all used to hang around the local coffee bars together.

I still haven't broken the ties I have a 1937 Ford V8 scattered all over the garage

Just been going round the different paint-shops and trimmers getting estimates for the work we need on ours.
Some reasonable, some rather expensive........

I started off looking for an unrestored Pilot but the two I saw were really not that good for the relatively high price that was being asked.

I've had V8's in my life for many years but this is the first flathead.

Hi Des, superb Pilot we have a Pilot in the Pre67 club - must dig out a pic & add it to this thread.

Hi Des, if you're on the lookout for Pilot bits and bobs I've found a chap called Bob Froch (01359 230027) he specializes in old Brit Fords and V8s and supplied me with a dizzy cap for Amelia at a very good price.

He's not on the net, so a search won't help, but if you chat to him he's a very helpful guy.
