From what I read, magnetos have a condenser buried within them. I know that a failing condenser on a coil distributor setup can cause misfires, would a problem with the condenser in a mag cause similar woe?

thanks, RJ

Hello Rick

When the magneto on my Ariel was on its way out, it would start fine when cold and run until you stopped it. However, once it was hot it would refuse to start again.

Like you say, most of the mags I am familiar with the condenser is buried deep inside the windings.

Good luck

Alec
