Looks an excellent example!
Heralds are great. I had one for years and loved it. |

Lovely looking Herald, love the white walls on it.
I had a Mk1 2l Vitesse for years hence my username. It had a swing spring on the back but I had to get rid of it, it was so unpredictable at times going around bends at speed. The rear wheels wouldn't do the fold in thing but just had a mind of their own.
I remember once going up a dual carriageway at speed and there was a huge bump in the road and the back became light and it landed with the wheels in a totally different camber and fish tailed like mad, got a real tank slapper on. I managed to control it but it nearly gave me a heart attack.
Love the Triumph straight six, just oddles of torque. |

Welcome to the forum heraldmania a fantastic looking herald very tidy Vitesse your story reminds me of my 67 1360 a lousy rear end the slightest damp on the road and she twitched like mad ended up 360ing after a short shower AT 25mph fitted a gt6 rear axel but almost as bad |

Yeah rtj proper driving. I love older cars but when you get in a modern car and just point it in the right and squeeze the pedal it seems so easy.
Problem is you have to relax a bit as you get older. I am convinced that you must be a better driver than someone who has never experienced driving a car pre 1970. |
