The estate ha a combined oil/temperature gauge and the temperature gauge works fine. But the oil pressure gauge wont return to zero when I switch off. It starts at 60psi. Should I just fit a standard oil switch back into the block and forget the gauge. I have looked on ebay for another gauge but cant find one....any ideas?

I would keep checking fleabay. Those dual gauges aren't terribly rare and one is bound to turn up sooner or later, actually they weren't too dear brand new until a few years ago, but are silly money now. Fitting a simple warning lamp in place of an oil pressure gauge seems a very backward step to my mind.

Very true. I much prefer the gauge. I will keep looking.

Of course there is another possibility. Depending on your dash layout, you could maybe ditch the dual gauge and fit seperate temperature and oil pressure gauges, may be cheaper / more common on fleabay (which comes to much the same thing) that way.
