Good afternoon, Does anyone have a copy of the service details for a Zenith 26VF-3 Carburettor for a 1954 Ford Popular 103E Sidevalve Engine? If so Would you be able to email or PM me a copy?

I have servicing details for the Zenith 26V

but there is no mention of the Ford Pop in the list at the back of the book
it only mentions the 26V under Austin and Morris ~ what do you think?

Can post it here if u want it.

Thanks Steve

That would be great if you could. The Carburettor is definitely a 26VF-3. The one on the car has the model although Ford is marked as the maker. Checking on the web it is a Zenith just under a different name. How many times do we still see that.

Steve, Thanks again

Hope this helps, the book then goes on to explain the rest of the series
such as 1V, VN, VNR, VNT, ViG, VIS, 28G, IZ, WIA, WIP......

cheers Steve

I love these old motoring gems.
To think when written they thought that the ideas were bang up to date. I wonder if in fifty years time people will smile at handbooks etc for todays 'sophisticated' cars.

Do you mean the ones that say "to change a bulb visit your main dealer" or "when the ashtray is full the main dealer has the specialist tool to empty it for you"?

Just a note from a well pleased buyer. Try Gower and Lee for Zenith parts if you need any. Very satisfied customer. Needed some parts for a Rolls Royce 20hp which had been converted to a Zenith.

I just received my gasket pack today from Burlen Fuel Systems. Genuine Zenith parts and reasonably priced. Pity about the postage though considering what was in the envelope.

I suspect that may be more than anything due to people "trying it on" with suppliers. Things that once would have just gone in the post at the normal rate now have to go recorded or special delivery etc. so scammers can't say the goods never arrived to get spurious refunds, or replacements to go straight on fleabay. I guess it's just the world we live in Sad
