I was talking about my latest addition on another post and Rick asked for some pics. Ill sort some out later and post them in the morning.

On insuring this I was advised this was on the cusp of being a classic, so it fell into classic insurance. My first quote for this was £900 Shocked

After shopping around I got it for less than £290 Very Happy Happy Days Exclamation Exclamation

Result Smile

I'm often tempted by these as a modern runaround, looking forward to seeing photos of your latest buy.

Amazing to see the wheels in such good condition. I had one new in 1996 and had two sets of wheels under warranty - the lacquer just peeled off. You seem to have acquired a lovely car and they are cheap as chips these days. Congratulations.

With Reggie (420G) taking up a lot of my spare time and money at the moment my new local garage I have alocated to do the work on now named Chloe Smile

He has done the water pump, ACC,pully, belt, re gased, a couple of electrical jobs, fitted a new tyre(well an ebay £10 bargain), coil pack, sorted the windscreen washer pump, drivers hearest, some bushes and MOTd her. And given her a quick once over.

I hope to collect her tommorow and get my new audio equipment fitted...

Well I found out last week this not actually an X300 but an X330 Exclamation

Jaguar X330 Exhaust Tip Change

PLEASE REMEMBER IF DOING THIS AND USING AN ANGLE GRINDER TO WHERE SAFETY GOGGLES

Halfway there:

These wont be going on eBay Laughing

Close up:

Im not over all happy with the quality of the tips but they are better than what was on, also the fitting idea was ugly in my ideas it was 3 U brackets which were tightened on to the exhaust by the bolt, I dumped the the U's and just used the bolts, I still believe the bolts supplied ate too long. I will be changing them, also I willok out for a better quality tip.

I am doing another back-end upgrade next week(I'm not the first to do it but I'll post some pics anyway)

Just preiwing the post, my rear number plate also needs straightening

I cant believe Ive had this car over a year now, spent a few quid on it but its getting in
good shape, once Ive had the bonnet resprayed as the there is some laquer peel I will be quite happy.

There are even wedding bookings coming in it for now which was the reason for buying it...

A lot of car for little money considering they were about £47K new and according to a
certain website there are only about 65 of this model left. Sad

I keep passing a driveway in which an XJR is mouldering away, must be strong, must be strong Smile (no, I don't really fancy one needing re-commissioning, I must be getting old).

Hi, is the X300 behaving itself? It'd be interesting to read an update if you get chance.

Hi Rick, still pulling like a train was over to Yorkshire and back in it at the week-end.

Becoming a bit surplus to requirements now so will most probably be going up for sale soon... Sad
