I suspect that the carb on my singer has an internal build up of varnish etc from its many years of standing idle.
Has any1 ever used an fuel injector type cleaner, poured down the fuel inlet pipe to soak the crud away and get evrything working tickety boo?

Blow that for a lark. Personally I wouldn't take any measures based upon mere suspicion. Strip the bally thing and make certain of what you're dealing with. |

Best ones are the cheap light blue tins from Poundys etc.. They have a high pressure jet which works better than the usual Halfords type things.
Great for cleaning oil off your best clothes that you know you shouldnt have been near the car in! ..haha!! Quick squirt, then some detergent to keep it from hardening again, then into the wash before the missus sees it! |

Any chance of a pic, so we know exactly what to get? If it's that good on clothes I'll have a boxful... |
