I wouldn't marry anyone who showed such poor taste that they actually liked that thing.
It's like a Bugatti made from a VW still with the engine at the back! I've seen one. Shudder |

On the one hand it may make it a lot more usable (handy as it's been used for weddings). On the other, some of its originality has gone for good most likely. Does it really matter?
Personally it's not something I'd do. However if I bought it (not likely), I'd probably leave it as it is, and maybe hunt down the correct motor for it so that it was "in stock" - just in case I changed my mind further down the line. Very presentable car though, although the colours (inside and out) are a little bright for me...
Thoughts?

Hi,I have an Austin York under restoration, you wouldn't believe how rare the engines are,I have an engine in mine but it is missing the bottom pulley making it unusable. Hopefully I find one, or another engine. _________________ Austin 18 York 1936

Even that is proving difficult no one seems to be able to tell me where parts for this car could be I am part of the austin countys club, austin ten drivers club and NECPWA. I am going to beaulieu in may to see what I can find. To be honest I am willing to purchase 18hp engine for one of these that may have been reconditioned and may not have so many bits missing. There's always hope. _________________ Austin 18 York 1936
