Hi guys,

So Im new here so wanted to say hi.

I have just bought a 1964 Minx. Overall she's in decent condition and drives well, possibly needs the clutch adjusting a bit but overall better than I expected!

I did have a quick question for anybody with a bit of Minxy knowledge though. the pipe that connects the heater to the intake through the bulkhead is missing. (the bit that looks like a tumble dryer hose) I'm assuming there is some sort if Y shaped splitter too. Well firstly I didn't know if I was correct in thinking this and secondly I don't know where to get them from? Any reliable parts dealers etc?

Thanks everybody.

Jonny

Hi Jonny

welcome to the forum.
I would do 2 things to solve this issue..
1. get a user manual...Haynes or similar
2. ring and speak with speedy spares http://www.speedyspares.co.uk/

That should help you along a little
Oh, and fill in your location, just in-case there is some1 near who could help

Thanks Kev.

I'm not a million miles from you really I'm only in Wrexham.

Will get onto speedy spares and see if I can get the bits ordered. the previous owner had a Haynes but couldn't find it, said he would post it on but I'm not holding my breath! I will give him a week and then see if it turns up, if not I will be trawling the bay for one.

Thanks again,

You are more than welcome to have a gander at my car and see if anything under the bonnet makes sense?

Thanks for the offer Kev, I think I have nailed it now, I have been having a mooch at some of the pictures on here of other cars and someone posted an under bonnet pic and just as I thought I'm missing a bit chunk of pipework.

Managed to drive it to work today so I'm happy. Its surprising how a car can put a smile on your face even on the way to work.

Might see you around though.

sounds like a plan, maybe a drive over the ponderosa on a sunny day might be in order.
