Hi Bernie,

I have the service manual for the Wraith, Dawn, Phantom IV and MkVI Bentley and I can't find any reference to tightening torques for any of the places you list. (Only the slipping load of the vibration damper.)

Probably best to take a guess from the stud material properties.

Peter

Sorry, forgot the firing order.

My Service Manual quotes:

6 cyl
1,4,2,6,3,5

8 cyl
1,6,2,5,8,3,7,4

I see Ashley of this forum gives pdfs of the MkVI manual in his website (although the manual and parts list titles appear interchanged)

Perhaps a BMC site for the Princess R which had the 4 Litre FB60 engine may give some guidance?

Rolls-Royce never gave torque figures for their engines, instead the specified the length of Tommy bar to be used with a box spanner.

There are two sizes of head bolt, mine are 3/8" and I tighten them to 35lbs/feet. Then because I've had trouble with pattern head gaskets, I do 100 gentle miles and then torque them again and again at 500. If they still go down a lot I keep checking until they settle. Do it with a hot engine because you have an iron head.

Big ends a bit less then I go further until I can get split pins in. Make sure they're a tight fit or they vibrate and fall to bits.

Main bearing too, are happy at 35-40lbs/ft.

Exhaust tappets are 6 thou and inlet 12.
