Yes a '56 if I remember right. I wonder what the dubious-looking aftermarket rear lights they refer to look like...

I haven't posted on the Volvo since the end of May. Progress had been limited this summer both by other commitments and more significantly, by knee problems which have made scrambling about underneath a car, something of a trial.

I have previously commented on the state of the old repairs to the cills, solid, but very untidy and this had been worrying me for some time. I had come to the decision that, to justify the next investment of time (and money) the cills really needed full replacement rather than patching up further and I was just thinking through a way forwards, when another opportunity came along.

So, a reality check has taken place and I reluctantly decided that the Volvo would be better off with someone with the time to give to it, and it has now gone down to London.

This is potentially a great car, but to be frank, I was becoming increasingly frustrated at having a car that could not be driven and after one or two false dawns, did not seem to be realistically getting any closer to that point whereby this was likely to happen in the near future.
So hopefully my buyer, Peter, will have the time and willpower to sort the old bus out, and who knows, maybe it will reappear on the forum at some point.

The picture was taken a few days prior to it leaving home, here in Lancashire.
