Hullo again all, bit of a conundrum which I need help to solve. The windscreen hinge mechanism on my Prefect is retained by four round head set screw. Two have gone missing, probably vibrated out during the journey to the sprayers. They are 12mm long and about 5.3 mm in diameter, thought at first that they were 1BA, but they are 20 TPI and not 28. Looked on all the charts but can't identify them . Anyone out there got any ideas-cheers all

Could it be 1/4" UNC

https://www.carbidedepot.com/formulas-tap-standard.htm

http://www.westfieldfasteners.co.uk/A2_ScrewBolt_HexHd_UNCoarse_THRfull_0.2500.html

or is 1/4" too large diameter?

The next size below 1/4" UNC would be 10x24 which has 24 TPI so it's most likely 1/4 UNC

Hullo again, Thanks for your interest and replies Thought it might be that myself at first but 1/4 is too big diameter. Outer thread diameter is 5.3 mm/0,21 inches which is closer to 1BA, but TPI is wrong. Real head scratcher this one.

It may be worth having a word with Belcher Engineering, see if they know.
