Hello

I have a chance to trade my simca for a triumph 2000 mk1 from 1966.
I don't know nothing about this model. i know it's a 6 cylinder engine with 90hp.. and nothing else.
is it good? theres parts available? anyone can comment?

Thanks

Parts availability is quite good I think, they are a big and comfortable car - the Mk1 has a very nice dashboard too, and personally I prefer the styling of the Mk1 compared to the Mk2.

What Rick says.
Parts availability is excellent especially compared to any Simca I would think (except rear wings Crying or Very sad). Club Triumph has a lively forum so any questions are answered quickly.
Easy to maintain, good road manners, enough power, nice style - what's not to like?

(I'm biased of course, owning one for 14 years now)

great cars with enough power and grace to keep up and pass modern traffic
they rust check the inner sills front cross members rear floor pan around the axil attachment inner wheel arches
we towed all over the uk with our mk 1 and the kids loved to slide on the rear seats
