Rick, any idea what happened to it, Rodded ?

I don't know who bought it, hopefully it'll escape the attentions of the angle-grinder and chrome wheel brigade ...

I can't be certain but it looks like the one I saw at the Belper show this year.

(Knew I would regret forgetting my camera!)

Just seen this post and I have to say that I agree that the A is just one of the most usable and reliable cars of that era. They go well, stop adequately and rarely let you down. We have a '29 Sport Coupe in primrose over black and we simply love that car Very Happy

Hi Tricky, sounds like you have an interesting garage - any chance of a thread or two about your fleet, and a few photos maybe?

As well as the '29 Model A, we have a 1903 Oldsmobile curved Dash (we did the Lndon to Brighton in it this time), a 1922 Packard First series 126 Tourer, a 1929 Pontiac S6 Tourer, a 1950 AC 2 litre and a 1989 Jaguar XJS Cabriolet. I would be happy to post pics, but I'm not sure how to do so Embarassed

Great stuff. There's a link which discusses posting photos here:

Basically, you upload/copy the pictures up to a photo hosting service (flickr, photobucket etc) then paste links to them in your posts here.

Wheels look nice, Dennis. Hope the upholstery goes in easily.

When my wife and I restored our 1928 Tudor, we were on an extremely tight budget. My wife bought some suitable cloth, remainders at a haberdashery. We studied the old seat covering, and she sewed the cover cloth to an old bedsheet. To create the ridges, my wife sewed across the width of the seats and backs. We then opened up an old kapok mattress and proceeded to stuff the tubes so created with kapok. A lot of hard work, and kapok dust throughout the house. The finished product passed muster, and wore very well from 1972 until I sold the car in 1990.

Seats installed, headlining just finished. Next to fit the windscreen. Photo about December 1971
