Sorted and once again pootling along to the soundtrack of a demented sewing machine.

She was maintaining a good speed as well 45mph up a 4 mile long 1 in 18, which doesn't seem to bad at all for 850cc twin pot. She did have a little more to give as well but wet roads, rear wheel drive and corners meant she wasn't going any faster even if she felt she could.

Oh and next item on the shopping list and really urgently is a new set of tyres. The one she is wearing left her feeling a bit too twitchy. They passed MOT but i'm thinking they are probably way past there best and having looked at the brand and size they have to be at least 20yrs old because 135 80 14 michelin X haven't been in production for at least that long.

try Dougal at Longstone Tyres; he was running a Daf until recently, and will be able to advise on the best choice.

spent many a night going down to bristol in me mates mums daf i think we even reached about 70 mph down hill 4 up Laughing
