Hi Newbie here, I'm having trouble removing the DK4A Dizzy off a 1937 Morris 8 - does it just pull out once clamp is released - for some reason it's toally stuck, tried levering it gently but still stuck in head. Any ideas PLEASE Idea

Does the distributor body turn? If it turns OK there may be a bolt on the engine crankcase that sit into a groove on the distributor. That's the way it is on my Jaguar.

Yes the body turns ok but can't see any bolt on crankcase ? Maybe I need to remove the manifold etc?

Yes i agree. Plusgas was a god send on my A40 and the Austin K2. I am sure it was "Invented" for freeing off the Scaffolding Clamps.

This seems to be a common problem with the Morris Eight, although in 30 years' ownership I've never experienced it myself. However, if yours turns in the head there's no reason why it shouldn't just pull out, since there's nothing else holding it bar the clamp and its set screw in the middle of the head.
