I have non-working wipers in an Austin A30. I sourced a used motor. wired it to 12v but that doesn't work either (thanks seller Rolling Eyes ).

Now, the grease in these goes hard over the years so I started to dimantle and got the bare motor seperated from everything else. Switched on, and it span for about five seconds, stopped and won't budge. If I switch the power off I can turn it by hand, with power on it's stuck fast.

What's my next step?

I'm wondering if I might be able to make a good motor from the two I have.

Motor's are not something i'm all that good with. Brushes look okay.
