Hi
It occurs to me that we don't have a "Seen something interesting" thread in the bikes section.

So here goes.

Yesterday, Darwen. apologies for the blur, I must have touched the phone lens.

Sunday 7th Hoghton, at the village hall not the car show.

Recently stopped for a cup of tea and a cake at Wrens Hall, Wroxhall where they serve teas for charity and happened upon a VMCC club outing.

A round the world Triumph.

I also came across this Victory in Leamington Spa.

Some nice bikes there, Bri.

Except the Victory. Should I ever be introduced to it's designer I'd have to poke him in the eye with my finger.

I'd rather walk than ride that, soz.

Seen the other day. 1974, and still in the original ownership. Runs perfectly.

I had one of those, a white one, back in about 1971 when I was in Paris. I preferred that to the more manly bikes as it was easier and cleaner to mount when reasonably dressed. But I had the mick taken out me continually as it was seen as a girly model.... It was not cheap to buy but it never failed me.

Did anyone see Salvage Hunters on Quest last night? They visited a Military dispersal warehouse and came away with a very smart and original late 40's Swiss Army Bicycle for £350.

Aye caught that, the repro Harrier looked appealing too (although not at £50k...)

Hi
This is on an 08 plate and the writing on the S/car below the cryllic script says limited edition, so it is probably a modern repro (Disc Brakes as well) but they have "reproduced" such things as a rust stain just below the seat on the rear mudguard.
Presumably it is a Cossack.

There is a following for this marque. Originally based on a pre-war side valve BMW, now fitted with an overhead valve, and two wheel drive, they will go anywhere, and then the return trip for the pleasure. I was aquatinted with the side-valve version through a friend who had the side-car bug bitten deep. He finally tired of replacing head gaskets and exhaust valves and swopped it for a 2CV engine, as this was based on the same unit, with a little imagination, and welding it fitted a treat.

Hi
Just seen a Triumph Tiger Cub, Blue and Silver and with a slightly trials set up, knobbly tyres and higher than normal clearance to the mudguards.

It was being carried on a rack on the back of a silver 4x4 near Haslingden.

I'd forgotten this thread. These aren't recent but from the Phoenix meet at the New Year:-

Was this a deliberate place to park this monstrocity? I believe it is a 1700cc V-twin.

But more tasty things were there:-

Hi
I forgot this, it has been on my phone a couple of weeks, it was in my local garage where I have my MoT done. Sorry about the blur.
