Hello quite a long time since my last post.
Last month I broke a few of mine own milestones with the old Lotus. Thelotusforums on which I am a mod had a big meeting at Brooklandands.
1,So first time Ive driven it more than 50 miles (150miles each way from Norwich)
2, First time Ive driven her out of Norfolk!
3, First time Ive driven her on a Motorway (there are none of them in Norfolk)
Despite my worries she worked like a dream. I drove her steady all the way and on the M25. From my previous experiances of older cars I know they dont like jams. I sometimes have a slight bit of trouble with hot starting if I leave her for about an hour. Im told the fuel in the carbs gets hot and looses octane? Anyway she always fired up after a bit of cranking.
Nearing my home I did let her off the lead a couple of time for a bit of a blast and she seems to really like that.
Anyhow a really nice day at the Brooklands museum and we all had a pic on the famous banking. Awesome to be on that hallowed ground!
Heres me in case you wondered!
