Well I have been meaning to put a thread on here on my other hobby of the two wheeled one man power variety!

Well knowing that we all like pics, here are some of the lot;

I'll start with my latest purchases, 2 Phillips rod braked bicycles beleived to be 30's or 40's.

The first one which I have restored from a wreck

And the second Phillips bike, more or less of the same era which will receive just a sympathetic resto in order to retain much of its patina.
Oh I do have the front wheel but it needs a new valve which I must buy!

Then I have 2 raleigh choppers mark 2.
The first one will be restored and probably is my next project, will be done in yellow with orange decals. It used to belong to my wife and has been resting in a sort of shed for a loooong time!

Next is my chopper wearing its original paint and decals but with lots of scars from when I was a wee lad and used to ride it and abuse it;

Last is my mountain bike which my dad bought new for me in 88/89.
Its the youngest bicycle I have but the one I use most for commuting. Still its already 26/27 years old!!!

Cool - neat E83W on your calendar too Smile

A Raleigh Chopper was the first pile of old junk I put back into service, as a teenager.

Will update this thread if anything else comes my way!
Rick I wish that ea3w was parked in my garage instead of on my wall!! Smile

Have now bought a couple more bicycles, a 79 raleigh winner 10 speed racer bike which is sitting in my garage together with the other bikes and another raleigh, this time a 60s one which I need to identify as yet and still need to collect. Both bikes are in very good condition with original paint and decals.
Some photos will be posted when I get the other bike home!

I do love the look of the choppers too, and they r quite comfy to ride, but the bike I like riding most has to be the Phillips right now.

We used to have a smaller version of the Chopper, if my memory serves me right it was called a 'Tomohawk'?

Hi Larry, depends on what you like most!
I'd try and find something old and interesting. I recently lost the chance to buy a triumph bicycle. Had never seen another like it in Malta at least. The Raleighs and Phillips I have were more common at the time hence the survival rate being higher.
Saw a lovely royal enfield but it was not for sale. A couple of months ago I also saw an old rod braked atlas bicycle in mint condition but the price was a bit too much.
