Brings a whole new meaning to the word vintage. I've never seen the like, but the style looks 70s/80s to me. Changing the subject, I got this not too long ago at what I consider to be a bargain price given those asked for the same on t'internet:-

I could have had four and then change.

Now relisted at a starting bid of £8,525 or BIN of £5m...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Vintage-Super-Rare-jaguar-Enamel-Motor-Vehicle-Sign-/221891061169?

odd for an item which had no bidders at £85...even more odd when you look at the Jaguar face design...not an OEM part, methinks

Second item is more 'reasonable', listed at £750 now in spite of receiving no bids at £80 on its first outing:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Vintage-Super-Rare-jaguar-Enamel-Motor-Vehicle-Sign-/221891065664?

same goes for that one, the back of the leaping Jaguar is too straight.
I don't think either of them are OEM, irrespective of the WWII fire or not.

Anyone else notice that these 2 bits of tat seem to be mounted on identical pressings?

They just don't look right to me, and what are they thinking of with the price?

Yes indeed, identical-looking pressings for motifs that should (theoretically) be years apart. I'll have to check the Trade Marks Registry when I get a chance, but if I recall correctly there is a substantial gap between the introductions of both logotypes.

As to price - not sure that they are thinking...at all!
A 7-figure BIN?! Doesn't FleaBay charge more based on the starting price and/or the BIN amount?
