Seen recently, at this year Adelaide Show, was this fine example of a model steam traction engine. A working model and no doubt somebody's pride and joy. The amount of hours fettling to achieve this fine result is testament to the builder.

At least 10,000 hours plus a lot of dollars. I did think about building a steam loco but the number of hours put me off. I built a Stuart no . 10 , one cylinder 3/4 x 3/4 inch, bore and stroke.

Like many model engineers he has done a great job.

I always admire the skill and dedication involved with model engineering, especially when the subject is a steamer.
