Does anyone here collect old pedal cars, or have memories of them as an ankle-biter?

I'm quite partial to them myself, and have a few in varying condition. The TR3 shown below was photographed at Gaydon, I'd be quite happy if one of these turned up at a tempting price Smile

Also at Gaydon, the much-lovely "JOY 1", prototype pedal car based on the Austin 8 and fore-runner to the J40.

Pedal cars have their own section on the main site, if you've not visited it as yet: http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/pedal-cars.htm

A friend of mine, just bought a old pedal car with a Mini shaped body.

It will become a toy again, as his son will have it to play with.

I was going to visit this pedal car museum last Friday, (their last day of opening for 2013 I believe) but we pulled up and they were closed due to a power cut Sad

Must do for next time in Kent though....

Wouldn't mind one to restore for my daughter!!
Lately have been thinking of building something similar for her but it just would not be the same!!
And I do not think my skills stretch that much either!

We really fancy having as we no longer have a collection of classics but it is just finding them at the right price .

Hi Rick
I don't know if this will work as a photo or just a straight link. A colleague of mine has posted this on his FB page. I'm not sure if it is one you don't have a picture of in the main site section or if it might be like Kevin's Ford Zephyr.

It does look like the Mk2 Zephyr pedal car.

My four year old son is desperate for me to buy him a vintage pedal car, I keep an eye out but prices are so high if you were buying to actually be used and not just collected.
