Hi, can anyone help and tell me how to remove the reflectors from the headlights after the rim has been taken off. There seems to be some sort of clips round the edge of the reflector. Both the reflectors have been fitted incorrectly so the globes shine sideways instead of down. Thanks Ralph.

Which version of the 8, does it have the mechanical dipping reflectors or duel filament?

Cheers

Dave

On the 35/Series 1/Series 2 Eights (1934-38 ), after the rim is removed there should be a sealing strip around the edge of the reflector. Peel this back and there should be a tiny screw at about the 1 o'clock position. Once this is removed the reflector can be turned to release the flanges behind it from those of the nacelle.

Hi Richard, thanks for this bit of information, I've managed to get the reflectors off and found that whoever started the restoration managed to crimp the bulb holders into the reflectors in the wrong position so I've rotated the reflectors so that the bulb is correct, just had to drill new holes for the securing screw. Thanks, Ralph.
