My favourite story relates to when I lived in Leicester. Overnight, all his garden gnomes disappeared. He reported it to the police, but nothing was found. Three weeks later he got up to see all his gnomes had returned and that they were all well-tanned. There was a thank you card saying "thanks for the holiday"! |

Hi
When I saw the title to the thread my first thought was a BS Gnome turbine engine or possibly an early 20thC rotary Gnome.
The latter of course could be sold to SWMBO as a means of turning a rotary washing line. and the former would make a good snow blower.  _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.
