|

Hi all, wonder if anyone might be able to help.
The seat base’s on my morris eight have springs but after 80 years of great service supporting posteriors the springs are now weak, not broken, just weak. The question is how do I go about strengthening the springs or do I need to have them all replaced. Has anyone had the same problems. Yes I have used a cushion.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with my m8s1 2seater but I'm afraid I cheated and opted for a foam base much more comfortable if not original. _________________ old tourer

A commercial spring maker should be able to reset the springs to original height. Probably not the ones who specialise in vehicle suspension, but those making springs of a more general nature.
