Re Clifton's Chocolates, I don't know if this is the same company but :-

Quote:
By the 1950s Fuller's had eighty-two shops where customers could order cakes, Easter eggs or a special box of chocolates. In 1955 they bought Callard Stewart & Watt Ltd with a factory in Southfields and three large restaurants in London. By 1956 their freehold site in Hammersmith had became valuable and management considered selling it and moving out of London. In 1959 they acquired Clifton's Chocolates of Manchester who also had eleven retail shops in the Lancashire area. In the same year the Fuller's company was acquired by the Forte Group

This interesting photo has just been added in. It appears to show a rare van built on a late-vintage Vauxhall chassis. The owner was Gaumont British, owners of cinemas across the country and a one-time-prolific film and TV producer. Can anyone identify the camera that the gent on the left is holding?

Hi
More info about Gaumont British etc.
http://bufvc.ac.uk/newsonscreen/davidlean/the-story-of-gaumont-sound-news.

If you take a look at the Timeline section there are film clips including 1 x Motors and 1 x Planes in 1930

The camera is almost certainly an early Leica; it's just possible that is a copy of a Leica, but I don't think they were about until the late '30s:

Somewhat less exotic I think I can add the camera to another old photo.
