Maybe, we did talk about it last week at Race Retro. Went last year, it was pretty good.

Do you park at the NEC, or get the train direct in (which I read is an option)?

I'm there all weekend. This year we are staying off site and travelling in daily by train. The train is very easy. The station is right in the NEC complex.

I'll probably be going on Friday - who from here is exhibiting?

I made my first visit to this show today, I don't think I've ever seen so many dusty/crusty/project/'barn find' old cars in one place before (outside of a scrapyard anyway!), it certainly makes a change from shiny-only car shows (although there were plenty of immaculate cars there too). A good day out, and it was nice to meet Gresham Flyer and Paul Beaumont, both OCC members.

I'll get a full set of photos uploaded next week.

RJ

I went on Sunday - had a list of stuff for the autojumble, got possibly 60% of it and will just keep a look out for the rest.

We don't normally get chance to look around the cars at the "main" NEC show in November as the AJ is priority, but with fewer trade stalls at this one we did have time.

The red Audi quattro in the barn finds section was interesting to me, as it was one that I'd looked at buying many years ago, before someone had let it drop into that state. It was for sale on a garage in Winterley, which is not very far from Crewe, and it was back in a time when dealers would keep about three thimbles of petrol in case anyone stole it, so it popped and banged along the local by-pass and I didn't dare take it more than about half a mile in case it ran out. Someone even more local to me bought it, then I lost track of it. Another "should have" car.

Nice to see photos of the Pre 1940 Triumph stand with the Super Seven project. We went on Saturday .I agree the show was good, not to big and a good mix of things to see.
One good thing I picked up was a electronic circuit which will fit inside my D type rear light, which will give ,rear light, stop light, number plate light and indicators all in the same fitting.I am hoping that this will mean that I do not need what I think is unsightly rear flashers
