Which light van of the 1960's do you think was the best of it's type at the time and has the most classic appeal today?
The choice was not that extensive in, say, 1965 and comprised the following ;

I have driven every one of the above except the Hillman Husky/Commer version of the Hillman Minx type van.
The Mini van was a hoot, the A30/35 a timewarp or a step back in time when I drove an A35 version in the early 1970s. The Bedford HA was light and nippy, the Morris 1000 van was the only one of the Morris Minor family of vehicles that I liked and the sole Hillman/Commer Imp I drove was a dreadfully rough and run down example.
The Thames Anglia 307E is probably the most visually appealing of all of them but were so under powered or short geared as to almost painful to drive in complete contrast to the 105E Anglia.
As a van, I would chose the Bedford HA and for classic status the Thames 307E.
If I have forgotten any other model, I apologise, but I felt I could not include the Robin Reliant van with the above. If you consider otherwise, please say or nominate your own choice, foreign or not.[/img]
Edit.
There was one British built van which I omitted from my choice above and that was the Triumph Herald van :

This is another van from the 1960s which I have not driven but the Triumph Herald 12/50 car I once drove was a delight.[/img] _________________ Starting Handle Expert

When I was a youngster my father ran his own lorries, the two works vans I recall was a Mini followed by a Morris 1000. I liked both but the Morris being that much bigger was so useful. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

I regret not making more of an effort to buy this one .... spotted in the mid-1990s as I recall, that was my Amazon in the background. A search on DVLA for NRN 342J doesn't bring anything back, so maybe it doesn't survive.
