Hi i am looking for my fathers (and mine) old zephyr six. The reg is : CJH836B i stupidly sold it when i was about 18 it was not in very goog condition but was well saveable. My father had previously spent about £9000 on it. If you can help that would be great. I think it went to either Shaftsbury or Sherbourne or somewhere in the surrounding areas. I last had it when i was in Chard in Somerset.
Thank you

I believe DVLA will tell you if a car is still on their system or not, although they won't divulge where it is if it does still survive

DVLA site says:
The enquiry is complete

The vehicle details for CJH 836B are:

Date of Liability 01 09 1991
Date of First Registration 11 06 1964
Date of Last V5 Issue 15 12 1988
Year of Manufacture Not Available
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2553CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour GREEN

This seems to indicate the vehicle may still exist but has not been taxed for 14 years. It may have been scrapped as they still show on the system.
I believe if you contact DVLA with a valid reason, they may forward a letter to the recorded keeper on your behalf. I do not know if they charge for this.
