Thanks for the link Very Happy it is a very interesting car that I never new even existed, they must have been a very expensive car to buy when new, have you any idea how much one would have cost.

Agreed, interesting to see the Paramount (does it have its own thread running anywhere on here?)

Sorry richytanimal I didn't recognise it, I don't think I've seen one with that front before, I've seen the earlier ones like the one in the garage on your foto page.

Apologies for hijacking the thread further, there is a thread on the Paramount:

ThE 1.5 litre roadster is the most well known, it's the maroon one that Dad & I also own. Price in 1953 was just over £1000!! The blue sports was a last ditch effort by the company to create a sleeker sportier version, it was never completed & the company went into recievership. My Dad rescued it literally from a barn in 1971 & we restored it in the 1980's including making dooors etc.

Our 1.5 litre roadster with the more familiar front end:

Interesting cars, the blue one looks pretty good.
Not so keen on the VW rear lamps though.

I know but when I was running it with the original tiny red stop / tail indicators I had several people "not realize" that I was braking or indicating.
It gets expensive & time consuming repairing the rear platform after a while plus with it being so rare I'd rather have ugly big lights that people can see than have it written off by someone not noticing.

Each to their own of course, this is an area which affects all older car designs. For this reason I have mounted an ugly brake LED light behind the rear window of my Jaguar 420 - I use the car fairly often on busy motorways (morning traffic jams) where there are many sleepy eyed motorists around.

Many times, but I only admit to doing so on the track, but then that is what she was made for really. This one was taken at Woodcote at Goodwood:-

Goodwood 2004 014 by Tony Brown, on Flickr

We did unleash her on an old aerodrome where they had a radar trap just so people could verify their top speed and we topped out at just over 150mpg. A bit scary at that speed on skinny crossplies, and not something I'd probably do again!
