With the installation of £700 ish garage door at the bottom of a sight incline, I'm looking for a method of stopping the vehicle rolling forward into the door.
I've thought about a spring loaded flap that lies flat when the vehicle exits the garage but stops the vehicle rolling downhill from the other firection. I can deviate round it should I wish.
Spent quite a time trying to locate one on various search sites but to no avail. What do you call the flipping thing?
Cheers, Tony. _________________ It may work in practice, but not necessarily in theory! |

Are you thinking of the one-way devices sometimes seen in car parks? I'm sure I've seen a warning sign in Cwmbran about them - something teeth, IIRC. Shark's teeth maybe? |

Hi
Providing that the car cant build up enough momentum to clear the dip in the middle that could be enough, mind you even a piece of 3x2 or 4x2 could do that.
That picture had me confused at first, scroll the thread so that only the top 2/3rds is visible and it looks like a photo looking up the frontage of a building with a little whispy cloud in a clear bluish sky at the top right. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

I see exactly what you mean about the modern building penman. Yes I think I've got a bit of marine ply I can increase to the size you recommend, and cheaper than £15:00
Thanks for that reply, and to everyone else. _________________ It may work in practice, but not necessarily in theory! |
