How sad, wonder what went on behind the scenes to put the two of them at each other's throats?

It also poses the question about what to do with one's collection of junk after we're gone.

I've already been addressing that problem Rick. Both cars I gave away in 2002 and all the rest of the "junk"is detailed in my will. I would urge others to do the same. When one looks at things one bought for a fiver all those years ago, like books and catalogues, and then look at the value today it is a eye-opener. An E-type catalogue is about £300 now, Lotus 11 £200, McLaren F1 over £1,000, these three obtained for free in the day, plus I have hundreds more. and then there are all the specialist books one acquires as time goes by, and car handbooks as well - all for a song or less. And it is important to list them to save the kids throwing them in the skip thinking they are, as you say, just old "junk".

I don't know whether this would be better in a separate thread, but, since the subject has been raised........

I have made it plain to my kids, when I've fallen of me perch, if they want to sell the Dellow, to contact the Dellow Register first, and maybe get the club to organize things? Chances are, they'll make sure the car goes to someone who really wants a Dellow...?
[Might be an idea for me to approach the club myself, anyway?]

It says it started with an argument over a hedge that involved the sons wife?
The old chap bought the property and paid for the builings to be erected, surely he has some say over their upkeep??
Like you say Rick, we dont know what went on behind the scenes.
For me, both my kids like the vehicles I have collected and they both have a favourite, not based on value.
In this day and age I am hoping it will be a nice little nest egg for them in later years but with a proviso that they keep a vehicle each.
