Morning all,

It's not often that a J-Type (or here, a JB) van turns up for sale, I suspect interest in this project will be great ...

You are right Rick, not a common van and I would expect the price to go pretty well.

Well it's up to £7400 with 2+ days to go, these little vans are so popular (and hard to find).

Not weird at all, it sold for £7500 and ended yesterday.

Why does the original link take me to a different listing then?

It's ebay's idea of marketing, steering you to another listing.

The link takes you to what they think is a similar item.
It say,s so at the page the link now takes you to.

"The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you"

I don't think it is clever at all.
If I put in a URL to a listing I want to see, I expect to see that listing. Regardless if it is sold or not. If I am directed to a completely other listing it annoys me a lot, it does bring me into a negative mind about Ebay instead of a positive mind.

I agree totally.

I have just got a new PC [courtesy of family, for birthday...to replace my perfectly serviceable 10 year old Vista system.....I wish I hadn't heard of windows 10, but I smile sweetly [!] and carry on.]

The new computer is forever telling me what I need to do to live my life to the full!
I don't have sat navs, either.....

and got divorced 3 times........because I don't like others constantly telling me what to do!

I get sick of technology trying to turn me into one of their snowflakes!!

Yes, that is really bad! Twisted Evil

Not only am I interested to see sold items, I don't want to see a 1970s Daimler when following an advert for a Morris Flat Nose.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morris-Cowley-Flatnose-Tourer-/183241576891?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276

You can't even see it in completed listings.

Peter

Hi
This is like your favourite supermarket's praactice of moving stuff around every so often.
They think it makes you see/buy things you wouldn't otherwise get; however it is more likely to annoy some of us and result in them selling less because we can't find something.
