Hi all,

If I had the £ lying around with nothing to do, I'd be tempted to go and have a close look at this lovely old Invicta.

Side-on and from the rear three-quarter angles especially, I think it looks superb.

Yes, it caught my eye too but with only 1.5 litres and single carb it will probably
be fairly leisurely. Nice condition though.

Lovely looking car and I do like its rarity.

For what it is and looking at other cars of its ilk I would think the price is quite sensible if you had the odd £30k going spare.

That's been on the market for quite some time; it keeps moving round the trade without finding a buyer, so maybe a low offer might buy it... A very pretty car, but sadly lacking in performance; a well sorted Austin Twelve would leave it for dead! At £30,000 I would sooner look for a decent Talbot 14/45 or 65.

It does seem strange that it hasn't sold even though the performance is lacking. The name Invicta always evokes for me the low chassis model with the Meadows 4.5 litre engine. I have been in love with those for over 30 years but always out of reach.
