Dear me!
The depth of some people's wickedness makes me despair. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

That is sad news.
It often baffles me the depths to which these scumbags will drop. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

If the low life that do this can make £50 from the job they probably think that's a good result
I have wondered if openly leaving them something that is obviously worth about this that they could nick, could save some of the cost and heart ache that this sort of thing causes?

There is no deterrent is there? I have CCTV cameras which might be something of a deterrent but if the low life are determined enough they will break in. Setting a fire is just about as nasty a thing the thieves could have done. I think the reason these criminals cause so much damage is because they are jealous. They haven't the wit to restore a car themselves so they spoil it for someone who has.
I hope the owner is insured - but it will be unlikely to cover the cost of a rebuild. A "salvage" payout might go some way towards having the car rebuilt but as the cost would far exceed it's market value I imagine the poor chap will no doubt be trying to do the repairs himself. If I lived closer I would be happy to lend him a hand but Derby is a long way from the South Coast. Best of luck to him, anyway. |

Dysfunctional people make up a frightening proportion of the population and cost the rest of us a fortune.
Absolutely heartbreaking for the victim. |

can sympathise. lowlifes whom only interested in self. sadly. thats current generation at moment and getting worse ( I know my rights brigade)
having once had a new escort Mexico ( back in 1972). that was sparked outside ..a nasty type walked along entire length of car with some of blade. scratching all one side down to bare metal.. obviously. envy .
thats likely why they set fire to it.
also had a car ( 2 actually) stolen .one dumped no damage .other. partially stripped by. people whom knew exactly what they wanted and dd it quickly.
I try and adopt attitude thats its only metal.glass rubber and paint but aware the many long hours and costs involved in fixing cars to best we can .will involve some emotions .
hope it eventually gets sorted and you can get past this mindless vandalism.
on a side note..see paramedics got. bricks thrown at them when attending an emergency call ! so society is going downhill very fast. partly expected as. well aware over population creates. this sort of thing. |

some vandals are so moronic I wonder they survive. On one occasion my Brother left his Wolseley Hornet mini parked in the road. In the morning he discovered that someone had smashed the little illuminated Wolseley badge on the radiator. All we could say is "it could have been worse". Actually, replacing the badge was quite involved - not a quick, easy job.
