Aft'noon all,

I find the idea of owning a small/medium-sized pre-war saloon very appealing, although this one would need a number of deep pockets. Whether the price (£27.5k) for this smart and mainly original LeaF saloon is reasonable or not I don't know, but I like the look of the car. I think the fabric body covering would need close scrutiny though, as in places it does look a little fragile.

Are fabric bodies, especially when getting on in years, very troublesome to maintain?

I don't think there is much 'maintenance' one can do to a fabric body; it's a case watching it slowly deteriorate! This one looks like it's well on it's way out, and I would give it no more than five or ten years before it needs major work; I would think that price is about right for a really good saloon, not one with tar-brushed rear wings!
