Has anyone ever heard of the VIX Vapour Humidifier?

I believe it is some form of water injection device possibly made in the 50's.
It was made in Wheaton Ill. USA according to the badge on it. I have tried to trace the company by going to Wheaton City web site too no avail.
Some one somewhere must know a bit about it......

Something here.

1929

Google "Walter Critchlow" for additional information.

Via Google books I also found info dated 1926

Thanks to you Peterwpg I found, via Google, Walter G Critchlow and his Vix Vapour Humidifier with the Patent Number. I have downloaded the Patent information with the drawings and now have enough information to write an article about it for one one of the classic car club magazines I write for.
