I have the above car and I am looking for the part number for engine pushrods. Does anyone have this or can anyone point me in the direction as to where I could get this from?

Thanks for the replies, I did think of Speedy but I wasn't going to buy from them on this occasion, so thought it was a bit cheeky Embarassed
Thanks for the number Jaguar, I checked but the stated part number is 1238510, dimentions 260mm long x 12.5mm female top end and 10.5mm male bottom end, although he does say he doesn't know what they are for specifically other than they are Rootes, he believes for cast iron head Hillman Hunters??.
Also if there's a place I should be looking for things like this rather than pestering others on here I would appreciate knowing where. I downloaded a PDF workshop manual last night, it's good but no part numbers.
Thanks again.

The part number I have provided came from the official Rootes parts list and it regards the Hillman Super Minx MK I. Checking the parts list which regards the 1963 Hillman Minx Series 5 which has the same 1600 cc engine reveales the same number as for the Super Minx MK I. So there is no doubt that the Rootes part number in this case must be P.114228.
Indeed, according to the parts list from Hunters part number 1238510 belongs to the pushrods from a Hunter with cast iron head

Regards,

Peter

Thanks very much, so that confirms it's the wrong part, just as well I made checks before buying. Can I ask is there a link to where you can access the information?

The Parts lists I am referring to are lists on paper that I possess, so I am not aware of any digital lists.

Peter

I'm sure I have a WSM and parts book for the Superminx somewhere in the garage, I can double check for you if required. It might be after New Year as it's finding time at the moment.

Good enough for me, it was the original poster who seemed confused.

Not so much confused, although I have been known to be at times in the past but just wondering if there was anywhere I could access such information myself , without bothering anyone else.
When you get a chance John have a look for the info you spoke of, I may be interested in purchasing the info you have if you wish to sell?
Cool

It could be a day or three, but I'll find the books, I think I know where they are in the garage.
