This article promotes a book about a 6000 mile road trip in a Model T, it's worth a read if only for the comradeship that sees a broken crankshaft - that occurred early in the trip - rectified:

The American old car spares situation is certainly a different world to ours and the Model T world a very different world.

Loads of spare cranks to choose from and finding one with only 10 thou off it!

The T owner has a huge advantage over the owners of other breeds. There are businesses manufacturing spare and replacement parts for your T of almost any age. This is not so with most other manufacturer's products.
