I watched the one on the Maserati last night, I don't think its a good reflection on our hobby buying a car for 12-13k and then making it super concours just for a couple of grand profit and a cheesy grin.

I think enough people know the difference between our hobby and what Drew is doing, through his other show which is just about finding stuff, adding some value and then selling it on.

As you watch more of them, the same stuff keeps cropping up - most of the cars he goes to buy are his all-time favourite car, then he alternates between banging on about how important originality is, and wanting to make it into something it's not.

The bits where he visits specialists to have work done can be quite interesting though.

Phantomworks has just started again, I watched a new one the other night and I quite like that programme.

My wife even sat and watched a car SOS the other day too!

The Car SOS rebuild of a Citroen DS was interesting. I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to own one, but I do like the idea of a DS in black, de Gaulle style.

Another one set to air soon, "Bangers & Cash", this time on Yesterday:

https://airtv.co.uk/index.php/portfolio-items/bangers-cash/

Set around the activities of dealer/auctioneer Mathewson's in Yorkshire, the trailer video shows promise. First episode 18th April 8pm I believe, but will double-check this nearer the time.

Ahh! Mathewsons! Fairly local to me [ One always needs to drive more than a dozen miles or so to get to the next town round here]....whilst they always have something interesting, I find their prices to be somewhat eye-watering, for what they have up for sale.

They have an auction coming up soon, the prices there are always on high side imo.
