Morning all,

In a similar vein to the Panhard mentioned here recently is this, a non-running Renault Fregate with Transfluide (automatic) transmission. On the plus side it looks to be complete, with a usable interior and no significant rot. On the flip side, the engine is stuck (although another motor is available) and presumably the condition of the auto 'box is an unknown too.

I'm amazed that the wire wheels were factory fitment on a mainstream saloon in 1958. I find this era of French car quite an interesting alternative to our home-grown cars, although whether manuals in English are easy to track down, and spares easy to find, I'm not sure, although with the internet to hand I doubt that there'd be any major hitches in running a car like this in Blighty.

Cor, that's a nice find, Rick. I need to get the needle and thread out to sew up my wallet!

Just looked this up....the transmission is a semi-automatic, it appears.....I like the gauges...'eau', and 'essence'..somehow sums things up more aptly?

No-one's gone for it yet with a day to go, maybe the transmission is putting people off? Or are there Renault enthusiasts out there keeping their powder dry til nearer the auction end?
