Hi gang,
I'm working on a marine Perkins 6.354 engine.
I'm building a converted 32 ft. ex-Gill Net fishing boat for a friend in a wheel chair.
All the deck space has been flattened so he can wheel around.

I'm hooking up the Morse control cables for the throttle and shifting but need to find out which position the throttle on the injection pump sits when at Idle, forward or back. The injection pump has a round shape with the 6 lines to the injectors around it, like a distributor on a gas engine.
The engine hasn't run in 4 years and is "new" to the boat.
thanks
Hank

I have just looked at a DPA pump and idle is clockwise on the throttle spindle.

Thanks for that Kenham
the injection pump has a lever facing down
so if I have it right clockwise would make the lever forward at idle
cheers
Hank
