Hi
2 mystery cars here, in particular:
Using the Hi-res button.
The LHD front left. and the third car back (with roofrack) on the left in front of the MG/Wolseley.
Feel free to comment there or here on any others as well.

I think the LHD is a 1960 Opel Olympia Rekord.

The third car back looks vaguely like a 1956 Rapier.

Hi
Thanks Peter, the vented panel by the wipers is nice confirmation for the LHD and certainly an Audax seems to be favourite for the other one.

I wonder if we can identify these? This is the remains of Brookfield Mill in Derbyshire. I have been asked if any of the cars are Wolseleys (I don't think so), but it might be nice to see what we can identify. The picture dates from 1953.

Thanks,

Hi
If you can tell us whereabouts in Derbyshire, I will endeavour to find an old map showing the mill and maybe a local history group with further photos of the mill.
The car on the right looks like it would have had an external spare wheel and luggage carrier.
Could the one on the left be a Bergarac, Triumph Roadster>

The car on the right looks a bit like a Ford Y.

The car in the centre could be an Armstrong Siddeley; the one on the left doesn't look quite right for a Triumph Roadster, and if the photo dates from 1953 a Roadster would still be an almost new car, so my guess is something from the 1930s, possibly an Alvis.

Don't think the car on the right is a Model Y, it does resemble it but the ribbing round the back on the Y metalwork is double rib whereas that looks like single ribbing.

I did think the car on the right resembles a pre-war Morris Minor, without its spare wheel in place?

I think it's probably a rather bigger car, possibly a Morris Ten-Four.
