Hi all,

We'd not been to spectate at a classic rally for a while, so on learning that the Rally of the Tests was returning to the former WW2 RAF airfield at Rednal in Shropshire (now a karting centre), plans were formed to pop down last Sunday morning.

It was good to see plenty of old Volvos in action (PVs, Amazons, a lone 240, and a brace of 142s), although I was surprised to see no SAAB 96s, big Healeys, or A40s. Each car completed two separate timed attempts around the circuit.

All good fun, here are a few photos:

Great photos...those tests are much harder to do than they must appear from a spectator's point of view.
The women in the Standard Ten are Seren and Elise Whyte who conducted the Navigation and Regularity Training for the HERO organisation a month or so ago near Bicester, which I attended; they're real experts and are very entertaining instructors. Very Happy

Thanks for these lovely photos,Rick. It takes me back to my misspent youth,so it was nice to see a good few dutch competitors taking part.I was particularly impressed by the brave fellow using a Ginetta, the ground clearance looking like about 2 inches Very Happy .
